The Primary String Spooktacular is open to any primary school student currently taking private lessons on the Violin, Viola, Cello or Double Bass. All playing abilities welcome.

The ensemble will be conducted by Renae Pinazza, an experienced music teacher and string player who is passionate about developing the skills of young string players in a positive and supportive environment.

The day will be filled with music making, fun games and team building activities. Sheet music will be sent out to students and their private instrumental teachers a few weeks before the date so students can start to learn the music before the day. Students will be carefully placed with children of similar abilities, supported by experienced tutors and student mentors, and be encouraged to make some new like minded string playing friends!

We will prepare several Halloween themed pieces for a concert for family and friends at 3.30pm. Spooky themed costumes are encouraged!

Weddings are back in full swing!

We were very lucky this past week to play for the weddings of five different couples, all of whom chose completely different music for their processionals (the all important walk down the aisle moment!) Our first were married at the wonderful Jaspers Berry and chose the classic and timeless Canon in D by Pachelbel for their processional. Next up we were at the Robertson Hotel, playing 'Can't Help Falling in Love With You' - a very popular choice at the moment, most recently made famous again by the amazing wedding scene from 'Crazy Rich Asians'! Following this we played 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' for a couple at Milton Park , and 'Jessica's Theme' from the Man from Snowy River at a gorgeous little church in Berrima. Our last was 'I Gironi' by Einaudi for a wedding at a private homestead. We love that every couple has chosen such different music - customising playlists to people's music choices is what we do best!
